Ross UMC's 'Girls United' chapter goes to Memphis
Eight members of the Girls United chapter at Ross United Methodist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee, traveled to Memphis on Dec. 2 for a day of education, fun and food.
They visited the Pink Palace Museum and toured the Starry Nights display at Shelby Farms. Adult chaperones were from the church and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
Girls United is a Christian-based mentoring program that focuses on positive uplifting programs with positive role models.
Girls United meets twice a month at the church and is open to girls ages 13-17.
