Reverse Advent Calendar for GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries

To generate support for these friends and neighbors during the Christmas season, GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries is encouraging your local community groups to collect daily use items needed by local senior citizens living in Wesley Living communities.

The Reverse Advent Calendar is a twist on the traditional Advent calendar with paper doors that open to reveal an image, Bible verse, or piece of chocolate. In the case of the Reverse Advent Calendar, everyday use items are collected each day and put in a box to be delivered to the residents this holiday season.

“This is wonderful opportunity for church groups, Scout troops, office staffs, bridge clubs… almost anyone, to give back to these friends and neighbors who might otherwise go without simple necessities that most of us take for granted,” explained Kristi H. Owens, GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries Executive Director.
Once the box is filled, it can be delivered to either Wesley Living community in your local area ( or to the GOLDEN CROSS offices.  For more information, call 901-213-1930 or email
