Rev. Dr. Philip D. Jamieson (above, right) will speak at the laity lunch during the 2019 Memphis Annual Conference. He is the author of two books, the covers of which appear left and center, and he serves as president of the United Methodist Foundation for the Memphis and Tennessee Annual Conferences.


Rev. Dr. Philip D. Jamieson will be the speaker for the laity lunch during the 2019 Memphis Annual Conference. He is president of the United Methodist Foundation for the Memphis and Tennessee Annual Conferences, a position he has held since 2013.
 
The lunch will take place Tuesday, June 4, during the lunch hour in Coates Hall at Collierville United Methodist Church in Collierville, Tennessee.

Jamieson is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and a member of the Tennessee Annual Conference. 

After serving local churches for eleven years, he taught pastoral theology at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. There, he co-developed the course, “Ministry and Money” with his wife, Janet. 

Since publishing their book by the same name, the Jamiesons have traveled extensively, offering seminars to clergy and lay leaders about the critical nature of financial ministry. 

Tickets for the laity lunch are $20 each. The last date to purchase tickets is May 14 or when all tickets are sold, whichever comes first.
