Project 20/20 will be at Memphis Annual Conference to receive glasses and provide donation boxes
If your church's Project 20/20 donation box(es) contain(s) any eyeglasses or sunglasses, Phillip Cox wants you or someone from your church to bring them to the 2017 Memphis Annual Conference, June 4-6 at Collierville United Methodist Church in Collierville, Tennessee.
As a volunteer with Project 20/20, Cox will be set up in the exhibit and display area to receive donations of glasses. He will also have a supply of donation boxes for any churches that need them. Look for Project 20/20's table/display.
Project 20/20 is a Memphis Conference lay-driven ministry that operates a glasses recycling center at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, and supplies cleaned, refurbished and repaired eyeglasses and sunglasses to mission teams that travel to underdeveloped countries to provide free vision care to the poor. Cox wants to see all the glasses currently sitting in donation boxes all around the Memphis Conference moved along to the recycling center for processing, which is why he will be set up to receive the glasses during the 2017 Memphis Annual Conference.
