Photo backdrop available during 2017 Memphis Annual Conference - for selfies, group photos, more

This 10'x8' photo backdrop will be located in the narthex of Collierville United Methodist Church throughout the 2017 Memphis Annual Conference for delegates and others to take their own photos (including selfies). For those who need a photographer, one will be available at designated times. See info at left.

Delegates and attendees at the 2017 Memphis Annual Conference are invited to use a special photo backdrop that will be available throughout the June 4-6 event at Collierville United Methodist Church in Collierville, Tennessee.

The 10 ft. x 8 ft. backdrop features the annual conference logo and will be located in the church's narthex.

The backdrop is a great place for selfies and for delegates from one church to get together and take a group picture, said Pam Jeffries, chair of the church’s host committee.

Michael Stires, the church’s creative director, will be available to take photos of individuals and groups at the backdrop. His photos will later be posted on the Memphis Conference website at

Below are the times Stires will be taking photos at the photo backdrop:

  • Sunday, June 4: 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, June 5: 10 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 6: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
Jeffries encourages delegates to check in on social media when they arrive at the 2017 Memphis Annual Conference and use the hashtag #2017MAC to share photos and memories via Memphis Conference social media: Lay delegates checking in on Sunday, June 4, in the narthex will have an easy opportunity that day to step over to the photo backdrop and take a picture, added Jeffries.
