For the fifth time in two-and-a-half years, Peace Tree United Methodist Church in Collierville, Tennessee, organized volunteers for the Guatemalan Mobile Consulate which took place Aug. 18-19 in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee.

The lead church for the event was Iglesia Metodista Unida "El Redentor" and the host church was Trinity United Methodist Church. Both are located in Memphis.

Volunteers from local churches and organizations came together to serve brothers and sisters from Guatemala.

The mobile consulate traveled from Atlanta, Georgia, to Memphis to assist their citizens with passport renewals and applications, as well as issue birth certificates, marriage licenses and other important documents needed by individuals whose families live and work in the United States.

Over 1,000 individuals were assisted during the two-day event. The mobile consulate is returning to Memphis in 2019.
