Board of Ministry
January is here and it is time to take a look at learning opportunities for Memphis Conference clergy in the coming year.
- What are the areas in your ministry where a class or seminar could help you excel? What ministry is God calling you to explore? Where do you need more knowledge to serve your congregation well? The Board of Ministry would like to remind you that funds are available to make Continuing Formation within your reach. Simply send an email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your class or seminar title, the ways in which you see yourself using the information you will learn, and a request for appropriate funds.
- Are you looking for Continuing Formation ideas for 2021? The United Methodist General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR) is the perfect place to start! GCORR’s work centers around three priorities: supporting and leading vital conversations, developing culturally competent leadership and ministries, and promoting institutional equity while upholding the agency’s historic commitment to racial justice within the Church.” To find more information, visit Resource UMC : CLICK HERE. Also, remember that financial aid is available through the Board of Ordained Ministry to help you achieve your learning goals. See first bullet above for instructions.
