Arlington United Methodist Church celebrated 20 years of scouting ministries on Feb. 9

Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop 452 at Arlington United Methodist Church in Arlington, Tennessee, celebrated 20 years of scouting ministries on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Arlington Mayor Mike Wissman issued a proclamation detailing the scouts’ service to the community. He declared February 9, 2020 as Scout Day in Arlington.
2020 also marks 100 years of United Methodist Scouting across The United Methodist Church.
During the church celebration:
14 Scouts received religious emblems awards
Pack and Troop received Bishop’s Award of Excellence in Scouting
Arlington United Methodist Church was presented Shepherd Church Charter Recognition
Rev. Larry Chitwood, pastor of the church, received President's Volunteer Service Award
Rev. Fred Morton, retired United Methodist pastor and Eagle Scout, was the guest pastor
