Paducah District churches proudly presented the Fifth Annual Reelfoot Rural Ministries Music Fest on Sunday, March 25, at Grace UMC in LaCenter, KY in Ballard County.
Each year, the Music Fest is a time for people to come together to enjoy wonderful music and connections with others around the district.
This year’s event included a diversity of outstanding music, including a combined choir of more than 50 voices under the direction of Davis Henderson.
Choirs from Clinton First and Concord UMCs, an ensemble and offertory special music from Mayfield First UMC and the praise band from Grace UMC all had beautiful offerings to share as part of the program.
Congregational singing wove the musical selections from each of these groups together.
Rev. Michael Blake, Executive Director of Reelfoot Rural Ministries (RRM), shared stories that helped all in attendance “see” the faces of those who will benefit from the love offering received.
A special surprise treat for the evening was a kazoo duet of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro by two of Mayfield First UMC’s ensemble!
The event raised $2,616 for RRM.
A wonderful evening of praise and worship, fellowship, fun and mission was had by all.
Thanks to Grace UMC for their outstanding hospitality…they rolled out the red carpet to all!
