April 1 is the deadline to submit resolutions and petitions for the 2017 Memphis Annual Conference, according to an announcement from David R. Reed, Memphis Conference lay leader.
Items should be emailed (with "resolutions and petitions" in the subject line) to Robbin McCoy at rmccoy@memphis-umc.org or mailed to her at Memphis Conference UMC, 24 Corporate Blvd., Jackson, TN 38305.
The 2017 Memphis Annual Conference will take place June 4-6 at Collierville United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
Any member, church or church group may submit a petition to the Annual Conference in the form of a resolution. The subject must be relevant to the Annual Conference, but there are no specifications for a petition’s format or length.
The Memphis Conference Committee on Resolutions and Petitions will review all petitions/resolutions received by the deadline to prepare them for presentation during Annual Conference.
