On April 8, coinciding closely with the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., in Memphis, Tennessee, the Memphis Conference of The United Methodist Church is sponsoring "United Methodist Day at the Civil Rights Museum."

The Memphis Conference of The United Methodist Church encompasses all of west Tennessee and Western Kentucky.

$2 discounts on tickets are available to individuals and groups who visit the Memphis museum between 1 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, and use the discount code UMC.

The museum is located at The Lorraine Hotel where King was assassinated on April 4, 1968. The address is 450 Mulberry Street.
