Part-time, 20-25 hours per week.
To develop, coordinate, administer, and lead a comprehensive program for children, youth, and their families. Such programming should contain a balanced focus on worship, fellowship, recreation, mission, and study in order for the arising generation to grow and develop spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
Plan, organize, and implement a solid and creative Christian education program for children and youth, including but not limited to nursery, Sunday School, Children’s Church, youth group meetings, special and seasonal events, and community outreach.
Recruit, train, and supervise adult volunteers to assist in the children and youth program as chaperones, teachers, small group leaders, mentors, and in any other capacity as needed.
Select, order, and distribute all appropriate curriculum and resources in conversation with the senior pastor.
Develop, coordinate, and promote special and seasonal events, including but not limited to service/fun trips and outings, retreats, bible school, Easter Egg Hunt, and Christmas activities.
Develop and nurture appropriate relationships with children, youth, and their families, being visible and available to them, including Parent’s Day Out, Concord, and Cub/Boy Scouts.
Plan and execute community outreach events to recruit children, youth, and families to participate in the church’s family ministries program.
Maintain and publish a schedule of planned activities to families and the church office, especially through newsletters, bulletins, emails, texts, etc.
Provide for the safety and well-being of all participants and leaders of the children and youth program, following Safe Sanctuaries guidelines.
Oversee and facilitate an effective confirmation program, with guidance from the senior pastor.
Ensure the inclusion of music and other arts in the children and youth program in cooperation with the choir director.
Attend and report to all staff meetings and appropriate committee meetings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
