Director of Youth Ministry

Position Reports to: Senior Minister
Salary Range: Open
Employment Status: Full-time/Exempt
Benefits: Pension & Continuing Education Funds

Youth ministry, by our mission, is more than programs, activities, and events.  It is the primary avenue for seventh through twelfth graders to grow spiritually and thus mature in their commitment to Christ.  It functions to help them reach their full God created potential as persons and as disciples of Christ.  Creative and fun activities and events must be used to train and equip young people along this journey of spiritual discovery and growth.  At the same time, responsible and effective youth ministry never loses sight of its primary goal – to foster and facilitate spiritual growth and Christian commitment.  Thus, amidst the fun-filled and contemporary methods used, there should remain a solid foundation of Bible study, prayer, spiritual focus, and moral discernment. We would maintain that faithful and effective youth ministry readily and consistently incorporates these elements into its wide array of activities.
