We are at the heart of Paducah's freshest mid-town residential neighborhood, across from Lang Park. We are a mile and a half west of the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers; we are three miles east of Interstate 24, halfway between Monkeys Eyebrow and Possum Trot! Once you get here you can walk to anything you need—church, grocery, downtown shops, local restaurants, florists, hospital, the riverfront, LowerTown Arts District, city hall, and the courthouse. Fountain Avenue UMC and its neighborhood are the places to be!

It's Not About Us.

It really isn’t about us—its all about God at Fountain Avenue UMC; however, if you want to know something about us, here is a simple snapshot of whom God is leading us to be:
  • 376 members, 101 at worship, 40 at Wednesday meals.
  • Worship blends traditional and contemporary music styles. We work hard to involve everyone because everyone is welcome here!
  • Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month and various other times.
  • Sunday School and choir are multi-generational.
  • Morning prayers begin every weekday at Fountain Avenue's Prayer Chapel at 8:30 a.m.
  • Monthly United Methodist Women (UMW) general meeting.
  • Monthly United Methodist Men (UMM) meetings.
  • Children have special Wednesday evening study as well as Sunday School.
  • Youth meet Wednesday evenings after evening meal.
  • Monthly activities for senior adults—More Mature Members (3Ms).
  • We are recyclers and attempt to live green.
  • Special seasonal and holiday programs.
  • Regular free meals, 8 breakfasts are scattered throughout the year to serve our neighborhood and to ensure we do our part in feeding hungry hearts and stomachs among us.
  • During the annual Quilt Show, we serve a meal, $10, for Quilters and the community on Saturdays 4-6pm
  • An annual Neighborhood Street Fair is held in May to connect our church to our neighbors, especially the children among us.
