Advanced lay speaker training is offered in Brownsville

An advanced training opportunity for lay speakers is being offered in Brownsville, TN in February and March.
Lay speakers from throughout the Memphis Conference are invited to participate in the class to be taught by Dr. Phillip Cook, pastor at Brownsville First UMC. .
“A Blueprint for Discipleship: Wesley's General Rules as a Guide for Christian Living,” by Kevin Watson, is the book that will be used for the class.
The class will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brownsville District Office on four Mondays: Feb. 20, Feb.27, March 12 and March 19.
The Brownsville District Office is located at 1489 E. Main St.
Cost is $15 per person. Dinner is included.
